exists to support and encourage local indoor and on-water programs for all ages and levels of ability.  Givebacks are part of the mission. These Givebacks have supported the Team CAP, CIRC Challenges and will provide for $7,500 toward Adaptive programs in 2011.

Women’s Division: RowFit Chicago

Going into the Challenge Relay, RowFit held the lead by 10.8 seconds over the University of Chicago.  The UC team fought back to reclaim 8.1 seconds, however, it was short by 2.7 seconds as RowFit claimed the over-all victory with a composite time of 16:13.3 over the UC composite of 16:16.0.  The University of Chicago can take pride that their CIRC Open Challenge record still holds at 16:11.2.

Men’s Division: MSU

Going into the Challenge Relay, the MSU held a 7.9 second advantage over the Chicago Training Center.  Pulling 7:06.0 in the relay sealed the victory as MSU opened their lead and claimed the Open Challenge with a composite score of 13:34.5 over CTC with a 13:51.4 composite score.  MSU also tied the current event record.

Women’s Division: Y-Quad Cities

Going into the Challenge Relay, Y Quad held a 23.4 second lead over North Suburban Chicago followed by CTC at -38.0 seconds. YQC extended their lead over NSC by 14.9 seconds to win the Youth Challenge with a composite score of 16:29.4

Men’s Division: New Trier

Going into the Relay, NT held a 15.5 second lead over Y-Quad followed by CTC at 25.2 seconds off the pace. They extended their time in the relay by an additional 15.3 seconds over Y-Quad to give NT the victory with a composite score of 14:45.0.
